When our daughter was born, I was there for the delivery. The next day I decided to go into the church office to check the mail and plans for Sunday worship. I stayed too long and missed being in the hospital room when my wife needed me and I missed the special dinner for new parents the hospital had planned. When our second child was born, I knew where I wanted to be and needed to stay. I was there for six days as we waited for the doctor's release to take our son home.
